On Writing

Writing is easy. You only need to stare at a piece of blank paper until your forehead bleeds. – Douglas Adams

I’m apologizing in advance, if it seems too graphic. This is what the writing process means to me. It’s experiencing that sense of discomfort knowing that you would want to be read but at the same time having those thoughts of what ifs ( grammatical errors, political incorrectness, bad puns,).  It’s a balancing act.

But I’m comfortable about being uncomfortable and sharing my view of the world or my take on some things. I’m scared shitless and I’m honestly sharing with you a part of me that is scared of being scared. There is truth in all of this things and how we’re all just bare footing or half-assing some of the things we do.

This is the human condition. This is what it means to be happy, to be sad, to be scared and to know that you are not alone in this is flight is liberating even if I am miles away — I can connect with you. You are here with me.

This is what writing means to me. This is why I probably write. This is when I don’t second-guess and just type away.

You? Why would do you write. Tell me. I’d love to hear your story.
